Tough Juggling so many things

It's been a few months basically because I've been absolutely insane. First, my law office moved to the Chrysler Building! It took a good month or more to recover and in the midst of that I was trying to write MORE THAN A MISSION, a romantic suspense for SIM. It took a bit of time to get off the lawyer hat and get back into the writer mode, but it finally happened!

Then, time to put on Mom and writer mode. My daughter had a school trip to San Diego and I tagged along to be Mom and also do some research for a proposal I hope to sell to Harlequin for the Bombshell line. San Diego was great! Here's a wonderful photo of the view from my hotel room!

I also had a great time meeting with my friends Sylvia Mendoza and Lara Rios, some of my fellow Encantadoras that live in California. We met in Temecula and went to the Callaway Vineyard for a great sunset dinner. Talked about writing and all the different projects we were working on.

Sylvia and I also did an amazing hike a few days later in Torrey Pines State park. It was the perfect setting for some scenes I was thinking of for that Bombshell book. Not to mention the coast was stunning in this part of Southern California.

Also great, my daughter had a great time at her school conference and I was able to write for several hours a day. That allowed me to finish MORE THAN A MISSION, which is a romantic suspense about a seemingly mild-mannered chef who must defend herself against a very sexy ex-Army Ranger who thinks she is a world renowned assasin. On the Monday I returned to NYC and work (grr arggh), I was able to drop off my finished manuscript with my agent.

Even better, just as I was wondering what to do next, my agent called with an offer from Harlequin for the next three books in THE CALLING Vampire series. More on that later. One final image for you, though -- the beautiful water lilies at Balboa Park. I built small (as in slightly bigger than a bucket LOL!) pond where I put some koi, goldfish and water lilies. I hope that mine will flower like these one day.
